Christopher Wyatt, Ph.D., was born in Manchester, England. He received a bachelor's degree in pharmacology in 1991 from the University of Bath, UK, and a Ph.D. in neuropharmacology in 1994 from the University of Leeds, UK.

He worked as a postdoctoral research scientist at University College London, the University of Oxford and St Andrews University in Scotland.
